Jessie James Decker’s Pumpkin Spice Latte
¾ cup unsweetened almond milk, or milk of choice
2 tablespoons pure pumpkin puree
2 teaspoons pure maple syrup
½ teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
½ cup strong brewed black coffee
Ground cinnamon, for serving
1. In a small saucepan, combine the milk, pumpkin puree, maple syrup, and pumpkin pie spice and warm over medium heat, whisking, until just simmering, 3 to 5 minutes. Turn off the heat and add the vanilla.
2. Transfer the warm milk mixture to a large bowl and froth with a milk frother or an immersion blender. (This is the secret to creating a homemade latte without the fancy machine. If you don’t have either of these tools, you can use a blender.)
3. Pour the frothed milk into a large coffee mug, then add the brewed coffee. Serve with a little cinnamon sprinkled on top.
