Louise Strahan’s Banana Pudding
Ingredients
-Nabisco Nilla Wafers
-1 can of Carnation's homogenized milk (Unsweetened)
-3 Eggs
-1/2 cup of sugar
-1/2 teaspoon of vanilla
-6 Ripe bananas
-1/3 cup of flour
-dash of salt
Directions
-Get a pan and line it with Nilla wafer cookies, then put a layer of bananas
-Separate the egg yolk from the whites
-Then, in a double boiler take 3 egg yolks, one can of carnation's homogenized milk, and a half of the 1/2 cup of sugar (1/4 cup), and 1/3 cup of flour, and a
dash of salt and mix it all together, then put it in the double boiler over hot water and stir it so it doesn't lump up
-Once you cut the heat, add the 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla flavor, stir it all up and pour it over the bananas and the cookies
-Take the white part of the eggs and add the second half of the sugar and beat it until it peaks up, then spread it on the top
-Stick it in the oven and let it brown (the icing should brown)
-Then, let it cool
-Should be served cold
