Guy Fieri’s Crispy Tortilla Strips
Ingredients
Canola oil, for frying
6 to 8 fresh corn tortillas
Kosher salt, for seasoning
Directions
Heat 3 inches of oil in a heavy pot to 350 degrees F.
Stack the tortillas and cut them in half and then into thin strips with a sharp knife.
Cook them in small batches in the hot oil and fry for 3 to 4 minutes.
Stir as they cook to separate and fry until crisp and golden. Drain and season with salt.
