LIVE’S Predict the Winners Contest
OFFICIAL RULES
NAME OF SPONSORS:
American Broadcasting Companies, Inc., 77 West 66th Street, New York, New York 10023 (Hereinafter collectively referred to as “Sponsor”).
ELIGIBILITY:
Entrants must be 18 years of age or older as of January 16, 2014 and legal resident of the 50 U.S., D.C. or Canada (except the Province of Quebec), with the exception of Guam, Puerto Rico and all other U.S. territories and possessions and where prohibited by law.
Any individuals (including but not limited to employees, consultants, independent contractors, and interns) who have, within the past six months, performed services for Buena Vista Television, LLC, WABC-TV, American Broadcasting Companies, Inc., LIVE with Kelly and Michael, any organizations responsible for sponsoring, fulfilling, administering, advertising or promoting the sweepstakes or supplying the prize, and their respective parent, subsidiary, affiliated and successor companies, and immediate family and household members of such individuals, are not eligible to nominate or be nominated. "Immediate family members" shall mean parents, step-parents, children, step-children, siblings, step-siblings, or spouses. "Household members" shall mean people who share the same residence at least three months a year.
HOW AND WHEN TO ENTER:

Viewers should go to the www.facebook.com/LIVEKellyandMichael page, hit “LIKE” US and then click on LIVE's PREDICT THE WINNERS CONTEST app and provide all information requested, or www.LiveKellyandMichael.com and click on LIVE's PREDICT THE WINNERS CONTEST button that will re-direct you to the Facebook app and fill out all 24 categories of the ballot, which list all the nominees for the 86th annual Academy Awards®. Viewers will have to select an answer for each of the 24 categories via the dropdown menus on the Web page, an answer must be selected for each category or the entry may be disqualified. Viewers will also be required to provide contact information in the event they are selected. Entries begin on January 27, 2014 at 8:00AM ET and continue through March 2, 2014 at 2:00PM ET. Upon completing their contest entry form, entrants will be given the opportunity to choose to have their entry information entered into a separate pool from which winners will be selected for the Weekly Prizes as described below. It is not necessary to enter this additional drawing for your contest ballot to remain valid.
"LIVE" can provide no technical support and accepts no responsibility for insuring the receipt or successful submission of your registration and/or ”Answer”.
Sponsor is not responsible for “Answers” not received. Sponsor is not responsible for failed, partial or garbled computer transmissions, or for technical failures of any kind, including but not limited to electronic malfunction or damage of any network, hardware or software. If for any reason the sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or other causes that corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the sweepstakes, Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the sweepstakes. No responsibility is assumed for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries; or any problems or technical malfunctions of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or electronic entry to be received on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any Web-site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participation in or downloading any materials from this sweepstakes.
Odds of winning will depend on the number of entries received in each separate entry pool through the period.
Limit one entry per person per entry pool and entry period.
Mass entries or entries generated by a script, macro or use of automated methods will be disqualified. If for any reason the sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or other causes that corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the sweepstakes, Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, modify or suspend the sweepstakes. If canceled, Sponsor reserves the right at its discretion to determine the winner using all non-suspect eligible entries received up to the time of cancellation. Sponsor is not responsible for failed, partial, delayed or garbled computer transmissions, or for technical failures of any kind in connection with entries or the entry process, including but not limited to electronic malfunction or damage of any network, hardware or software. In the event of a dispute over an electronic entry, prize will be awarded to the authorized subscriber of the e-mail account, not the name on the entry form.
HOW AND WHEN WINNERS WILL BE SELECTED AND NOTIFIED:
Grand Prize Winner Selection
One grand prize winner will be selected after the Academy Awards® ends on Sunday, March 2, 2014 and may be announced on LIVE's After Oscar® Show Special or on or about Monday, March 3, 2014. (most likely the next day) The grand prize winner will be randomly chosen from a pool of winners who have the most correct answers. The show may or may not contact the winner beforehand and may or may not ask the winner to be available during the show for a check-in over the phone or via Skype.
Viewers will have to select an answer for each of the 24 categories via the dropdown menus on the Web page. Winners will be selected from the pool of those who have the most correct answers. For example, if 20 people have all 24 categories correct, a winner will be randomly selected from that pool, but if only 1 person has all 24 categories correct, he or she is the winner. If no one has selected the correct winners for all 24 categories, the winner will be selected from the pool of entrants that have all selected the most correct answers.
Weekly Winner Selection
From those entries received in the additional separate prize pool for weekly prize drawings, two (2) winners will be selected at random from all valid entries received up to the time of the drawing. Weekly drawing will be done at or about 8am on the following days: Mondays, February 3, 10, 17 and 24, 2014 and Monday, March 3, 2014. There will be a total of ten (10) weekly winners selected through the course of the sweepstakes period, with two (2) winners being selected at each of the five (5) weekly drawings.
Sponsor may or may not draw and/or announce a winner's name on air.
If contact with a winner is not made within 1 week the winner will be disqualified and an alternate will be selected from the remaining valid entries from the same entry pool the original entry was selected. Failure to timely comply with any requirement of these terms and conditions will result in the winning entrant being deemed ineligible for any prize. Each Canadian resident who is a potential winner will be required to answer correctly a mathematical skill testing question without assistance of any kind whether mechanical or otherwise to be declared a winner and be eligible to collect a prize.
In the event a winner is deemed ineligible, fails to comply with sweepstakes procedures, or is not available to claim prize during specified dates, then an alternate winner will be selected at random from the same entry pool as the original entry was selected.
Final determination of winners is always conditional on verification of eligibility and compliance with all rules and procedures.
PRIZE(S):
GRAND PRIZE: The grand prize winner will receive a trip valued at approximately $4,800.
WEEKLY PRIZES: Two winners will be selected at random each week of the contest (10 total), and will be awarded merchandise valued at approximately $500 each.
If the actual value of a prize is less than the stated ARV, the difference will not be awarded. Any depiction of a prize is for illustrative purposes only. Prize is not redeemable for cash or transferable, except it is transferable to a surviving spouse residing in the same household. No substitution allowed except, at Sponsor's sole discretion, a prize of equal or greater value may be substituted. Sponsor will not replace any lost, mutilated or stolen tickets, travel vouchers, certificates or prizes. Prize elements may not be separated. Airline tickets issued in conjunction with the prize are not eligible for frequent flyer miles, and no code share flights may be used. Prize cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion or offer. The prize winners shall be solely responsible for any applicable federal, state, provincial, local taxes and/or local laws and regulations, and the reporting consequences thereof, and for any other fees or costs associated with the prizes. Winner will receive an IRS Form 1099 reflecting the final actual value of any prize valued at $600 or more.
The ARV's of all prizes are furnished by the prize suppliers. For travel prizes where air transportation is included, the round-trip coach-class air transportation element of the prize begins and ends at a major commercial airport near winner's residence or in some cases from selected gateways as designated in the travel prize package. Sponsor reserves the right to structure travel route in its sole discretion. If a winner lives within 100 miles of Prize trip destination, air transportation will not be provided but ground transportation may be arranged in Sponsors sole discretion. Trips must be completed within one (1) year of notification of winning, unless otherwise stated by Sponsor and/or prize supplier(s) in their sole discretion. Trips must be booked at least twelve (12) weeks prior to travel dates or on a timeframe set by Sponsor and/or prize supplier(s) in their sole discretion, which will be disclosed in travel documentation. No extension or change of trip dates permitted once trip dates have been confirmed by Sponsor. The prize restrictions/conditions stated herein are not all-inclusive and may be subject to additional restrictions/conditions, which will be stated in the Affidavit/Release (described below) and/or trip prize travel documents. Trip is subject to air/ground travel availability, hotel/stateroom availability, holiday and blackout dates and all other prize and travel restrictions, as applicable. If trip has a guest component, winner and guest(s) must travel together on the same itinerary (in Sponsor's and/or prize supplier(s) sole discretion). If a travel prize winner is a resident of a jurisdiction that deems him/her to be a Minor, he/she must be accompanied by his/her parent/legal guardian and such person must accompany the winner as the travel guest. If travel guest is a resident of a jurisdiction that deems him/her to be a Minor, he/she must be accompanied by his/her parent/legal guardian and such person must be the winner. If winner elects to travel without a guest(s), no additional compensation will be awarded. If a Prize trip is outside the U.S. or Canada (if winner is a resident there), winner and guest(s) (if applicable) are solely responsible for obtaining all necessary travel documents including passports and visas. The U.S. State Department requires all international travelers to present a government issued passport for U.S. Customs re-entry after air, land or sea travel. If trip has a rental car component, winner and/or a guest(s) (if applicable) must have a valid U.S. driver's license, be 25 years of age or older, and have at least one major credit card in good standing. In the event a winner or a trip travel guest(s) does not have a valid U.S. driver's license, is under 25 years of age, or does not have at least one major credit card in good standing, then rental car component of prize will be forfeited and remaining elements of trip shall constitute full satisfaction of said prize. Prize winner and guest, if any, must travel together on the same itinerary and all trip components must be taken together on the same trip. If any Prize winner elects to travel without the allotted number of guests, no additional compensation will be awarded. In the event that a prize component is not available during the time of the trip for whatever reason (e.g., weather conditions), then remaining elements of prize or prize components shall constitute full satisfaction of Sponsor's prize obligation to winner and no additional compensation will be awarded in lieu thereof. Prize winner and/or his/her travel guest(s) must have/present at least one major credit card in good standing in order to check into a hotel, cruise or resort. All other expenses and incidentals not specifically mentioned as being included are excluded and are winner's sole responsibility including, but not limited to, taxes, air transfers, government fees, unspecified ground transportation, meals, gratuities, hotel incidentals, telephone calls, port charges and taxes, government fees, shore excursion(s), souvenirs, gift shop purchases, spas, meals in alternate dining venues, travel documents, service charges and travel insurance premiums, trip and travel insurance, and required immunizations if applicable.
RELEASES:
By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these official rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which shall be final in all respects.
By participating in the sweepstakes and/or accepting any prize that they may win, entrants agree to release Buena Vista Television, LLC, WABC-TV, American Broadcasting Companies, Inc., LIVE with Kelly and Michael, their respective parent, subsidiary, affiliated and successor companies, advertising and promotion agencies and prize suppliers, and each of their respective officers, directors, agents, representatives and employees, as well as each of their respective successors, representatives and assigns (collectively, the "Released Parties") from any and all actions, claims, injury, loss or damage arising in any manner, directly or indirectly, from participation in the sweepstakes and/or acceptance or use of the prize.
This contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook. You understand that you are providing your information to American Broadcasting Companies, Inc. and not to Facebook. Any information collected will be used in accordance with American Broadcasting Companies, Inc. privacy policy available at: http://corporate.disney.go.com/corporate/pp.html. Entrants authorize the Released Parties to use their name, voice, likeness, biographical data, city and state of residence and entry materials in programming or promotional material, in any media now known or hereafter created or conceived, worldwide in perpetuity, or on a winner's list, if applicable, without further compensation unless prohibited by law. Sponsor is not obligated to use any of the above mentioned information or materials, but may do so and may edit such information or materials, at Sponsor's sole discretion, without further obligation or compensation.
To claim prize winner must: (a) provide proof of winner's age, residency, and legal status; (b) sign and return eligibility, publicity, liability, rules compliance and any other releases requested by Sponsor; and (c) have winner's intended guest(s) or travel companion(s), if any, sign and return releases requested by Sponsor; all within the time period(s) specified by Sponsor.
MISCELLANEOUS; WINNER'S LIST
Void where prohibited. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply.
Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process and to cancel, terminate, modify and/or suspend the sweepstakes in the event of tampering or other circumstances, including but not limited to acts of God or civil disturbance that render it impractical or impossible to complete or fulfill the contest as originally planned.
